14. December 2015: Restaurant Shambala @ Le Méridien Vienna
The breakfast selection at the Le Méridien Vienna is quite exhaustive and really leaves no room for open wishes. Besides maybe steaks. Steaks can always be eaten.
However, you get everything ranging from cheeses to other diary products …
… yogurts, small snacks …
… various cold cuts …
… vegetables, hash browns, eggs, bacon, …
… with your own omelet and egg station …
… and obviously various breads …
and sweet snacks. The service is very swift and your table pretty much immediately after you took a seat. However, there is basically no one expecting you when you enter the restaurant which is a bit confusing as usually they ask you for your room number.
The atmosphere of the Shambala is actually quite lovely – modern Le Méridien design, perfect combination of darkness and brightness, and last but not least friendly personnel. While I have never had breakfast here on a Sunday, it seems definitely like a nice place to enjoy brunch.
