22. December 2015: Restaurant Coco’s Grill
The Restaurant Coco is located very close to Paradeplatz and is kind of an institution in Zurich. And that is why it hasn’t changed much over the past year. The place is rather tiny, so not the perfect location for “private talks” but somehow very traditional and atmospheric.
They offer five different menus every day and you get to pick from the “verbal menu”. I went for the “vegetable soup” as a starter which was delivered almost immediately after having placed the order and the …
“Green Thai Curry with Beef Fillet Stripes and Basmati Rice” which was absolutely lovely. It had a nice spiciness and was a rich combination of vegetables and beef.
The waitress was friendly and jovial and did a good job. The place is rather “oldish” in style but more kind of like the “hipster old” and not the “actually old” style so it is quite nice. Overall, the Restaurant Coco is a safe place to go for a quick lunch – however, you should absolutely book a table in advance!
