20. July 2010: Restaurant Opus
The restaurant Opus is situated right next to the river Reuss in Lucerne and is in walking distance from the city center as well as from the main station of Lucerne. In summer, the restaurant profits from its location next to the river where you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the sun or something alike. So we’ve enjoyed the nice atmosphere outside. The number of people beign there decreased the value of the place a bit.
This evening, the place was quite crowded and it took the waiters quite some time to come and serve us. Once they’ve finally made it to our table to serve us, they were friendly and helpful. It must be said, that it took them quite some time to actually bring our ordered dishes to our table.
I’ve had a spicy medium Beef Tatar which was quite good – it was enough toast and butter with it (which you usually have to ask for).
The prices are okay (about CHF 30.00 for a 110gr beef tatar). It’s not really cheap but regarding the whole thing, it’s worth it.
