Great looking but not that tasty: Restaurante Passeio da Vitória @ Sheraton de Bahia (2. February 2016)
The evening buffet (65.00 BRL) did look really promising but it only fulfilled its optical promise to some degree. The selection of salads was good …
… and the variety was nice so you would actually be able to make yourself a decent and tasty salad …
… with lots of leaf salad but also some kind of cheese, lentils, tomatoes and …
… you obviously had a choice of different salad sauces. I went for the Caesar dressing which was tasty but quite thick.
Before going to the dessert, I had some main courses. Not worth taking a picture as they all come in “keeping food hot boxes” but frankly, that was a disappointment. The only proper dish was “salmon in mango sauce” but the rest was really not that great. Okay, the “white rice” was also fine! :)
The dessert selection was actually the highlight of the buffet – and I am not even into sweets but the four different small desserts I have tried were actually quite decent.
Overall, I cannot recommend the evening buffet at the restaurant Passeio da Vitória @ Sheraton de Bahia. The price is very fair but you do not really get much quality food when it comes to the main dishes. The salad buffet and the desserts are fine but the main courses are not.
When it comes to the service, they are friendly and dedicated but they could be a bit more attentive when it comes to ask for beverages, taking away your plates, or when you asked for the bill.
