A really Hamburg like dish – fish soup: Restaurant Daniel Wischer (1. April 2016)
If you are looking for a real dish from Hamburg, the “fish soup with seafood and baguette” (EUR 8.40) is definitely a good choice. Be aware though, if you take the “large portion”, you should not order any starter or dessert as the pot is quite huge (I am pretty sure it’s one litre, maybe more). The soup is aromatic and has a lot of different fishes and shell fishes in it – lovely and tasty.
When I was wondering who is coming here because you see a food box outside where you can pick up your food, you do not immediately see the restaurant in the back, my colleague who had recommended the place, told me: Old people, old people and me! And: It’s so true! However, the place is kind of old, or let’s say traditional, and the waiter is swift and friendly. So, if you are looking for something truly from Hamburg, this is the place to go!
