Great place for business lunches: Restaurant Schützengasse (9. May 2016)
If you are looking for a place where you can have a quick business lunch centrally in Zurich and actually get quite good food, then the Restaurant Schützengasse is absolutely recommendable. Reservation in advance is key though as you won’t stand a chance to get a table if you do not book a table in advance. This day, the menu was “pea soup” as a starter which was quite rich and not watery like you often get it when a soup is included in the menu.
The main course was “grilled turkey breast with rosemary potatoes and zucchini” (CHF 29.50; incl. soup) served with herb butter. The dish was fine when we speak about taste but the turkey was definitely too dry for my personal gusto.
Until this day I was not aware that the Restaurant Schützengasse has a dining room on the second floor too but it is actually quite nice – as it is very private (only 5 tables). The atmosphere is definitely not the same as on the ground floor but still fine and the service is very attentive and friendly. So, basically all you can ask for in a business lunch restaurant. As mentioned, booking in advance is crucial.
