Proper Italian business lunch: Restaurant La Piazzetta (8. July 2016)
I walked by the La Piazzetta so many times but somehow never ended up having lunch or dinner there. Finally, it was the time to enjoy lunch there. There is a lunch menu which is decent in price but it was not to my liking today – so I went à la carte. The “Insalata Caprese” (CHF 16.00) was served quite swiftly. The mozzarella was rich and the tomatoes were quite okay.
The “Tris di Triangoli (Melanzane, Zucchini e Formaggio Tartufato)” (CHF 30.00) are cooked perfectly al dente – just as it should be. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and very swift. Something I highly appreciate for lunches!
Overall, I can recommend the La Piazzetta for lunch – friendly service, good dishes, fair in price. The only thing which was a bit confusing was the fact that you can book a table in advance but as a matter of fact no specific table is booked for you but it is rather the case that you would just get any table.
