Good lunch also for larger groups: Restaurant Latino (12. August 2016)
You get a good lunch selection at the Restaurant Latino and it also works quite well for larger groups. This day it was a “cold cucumber soup” as a starter (usually CHF 10.80) which was quite a generous portion for a starter.
The main course of the menu (CHF 34.00 in total) was a fried “fried gilthead with almonds, zucchini and fried potatoes”. While the portion looked rather small at first, it was actually more than enough. The gilthead was nicely juicy and the smooth in taste.
The restaurant managed to provide us with a table for 10 people although I only booked like 1 hour in advance. And the service was actually very attentive and managed to take up all orders correctly and also served them within a decent time. Only when it came to paying the bill, it ended up being a mess because somehow the waiter was not able to count correctly so in the end the total amount wasn’t correct and we had to pay the difference (which is fine of course, but super annoying). So, overall, the Latino is actually a nice place with fair lunch offers, good service (which has to learn how to count), for a decent price.
