Nice audience but mediocre DJ: Jimmy Woo Club (15. October 2016)
According to one of my friends who used to go out in Amsterdam quite often, Jimmy Woo was the place to be. Well, turns out that this is maybe not so true anymore. It was already not really easy to get in as apparently it is still perceived as this fancy good club but after having persuaded the “bouncer lady” we were in (entrance fee: EUR 15.00).
There are two stories in the club and while on the upper one, there is more like a relaxed kind of atmosphere, on the lower level, there is the actual party ongoing. The prices for the beverages are decent, i.e. EUR 8.00 for a “vodka lemon”. What is a bit annoying though is the fact that you can only pay by credit card if you buy stuff for at least EUR 50.00.
Overall, the Jimmy Woo is a rather average club which lives from the hype it has had a couple of years ago. From my personal point of view, not really worth the visit – but maybe I am just getting old.
