Lovely place for brunch with a tremendous coffee selection: Berliner Kaffeerösterei (23. October 2016)
Lately, I seem to end up having brunch when in Berlin and today it was the Kaffeerösterei Berlin so I decided to go for the “Berliner Kaffeerösterei breakfast (cooked organic egg, smoked ham, regional cheese, pepper salami, ham from Schwarzwald, chicken breast, fresh fruit, 0,2L orange juice, and a piece of cheese cake)” (EUR 16.90). While at first I thought the selection was rather limited and the portion quite small, I must admit that it was actually more than enough. And it was also quite good overall – only the salad was unnecessary decoration.
What is kind of outstanding though about the place is the selection of different coffees they offer – I had the “Colombia, La Claudina” (EUR 4.80) which was aromatic and very smooth. Nothing like your regular standard filter coffee with its note of sour but really just quite outstanding in flavour.
The coffee place itself is rather standard – the atmosphere is okay but definitely nothing extraordinary really. The waitress was friendly, swift, and attentive. Overall, for coffee aficionados and breakfast lovers, this place is definitely worth a visit.
