Rather limited breakfast but amazing suite: east Restaurant @ east Hotel (9. February 2017)

The “breakfast selection” (EUR 19.50) for hotel guests is quite decent but overall rather limited. I mean, you get everything from a nice selection of tea to …

… a couple of other things like yogurts, fresh fruit, porridge, as well as fresh vegetables …

… and cereals. But overall, the selection of dishes looks rather limited overall. I mean, there is three little tables full with stuff – sure, but it is not really what I had expected of the east. However, admittedly, the hotel rooms are outstanding. I got upgraded to a “Grande Suite” and that was absolutely outstanding!

The atmosphere is nice but it is relatively dark – you can barely see anything which is maybe nice if you’re hangover but if you want to start your day, it is not entirely optimal. The service is generally friendly and attentive, however, he made me move from the table I sat down at by saying that it was reserved – but there was clearly nothing which showed it was reserved plus the dining hall was basically empty. So, I do not entirely get why you would have to be a pain in the back and move me to another table. Last but not least, they didn’t even check if I was staying at the hotel, respectively, asked me for my room number – so I could just have walked in and eaten breakfast without even paying …
