You wouldn’t enter – but you should: Restaurant Ban Sri Thai (14. February 2017)

| March 30, 2017 | 0 Comments

Frankly, I would never have entered if it wasn’t for a colleague to bring me along – and it was a good choice. I mean, the place doesn’t look too appealing from the outside and the picture doesn’t change that much when you’ve entered. This is also true when you see the buffet (CHF 17.50) all you can eat. The buffet is rather limited and basically consists of one soup and like five different dishes to be combined with rice.

The place is simple, fully booked, so you definitely should book a table in advance – but the food is actually great. The soup is rich, has a strong coconut taste but it tastes lovely. And the various main courses I have tried (didn’t try all of them) are also very good!

The glass of “mineral water, 0,3L” (CHF 4.00) is comparatively expensive but still within range – and for what you get food-wise, it is more than okay. So, while I would never have entered myself, I am glad I was taken along – and will definitely visit it again for authentic Thai food when in St. Gallen.
