24. August 2010: Restaurant Strandbad Winkel
The Restaurant Strandbad Winkel is located in the little town of Horw just about 5 minutes by car from Lucerne. It is also accessible by public transportation using either the S4 or the S5 (stop: Horw). The restaurant is situated right next to the Lake Lucerne and offers a marvelous view to the other side and over the lake from its terrace.
The design of the furniture is quite cheap but serves its purpose. Furthermore, as the place is also a public bath, it’s a practical design.
The waitress is friendly and serves you quick with your orders. The prices are quite low (CHF 4.00 for a beer).
All in all, the Restaurant Strandbad Winkel is the perfect place to sit down and enjoy the view over the lake and have a beer. The restaurant part (where you can eat) looks quite nice too, but I didn’t have the chance to try it out. Later maybe.
