Only good for a break at the shopping mall: Restaurant El Diez, Parrilla Argentina (13. April 2017)
If you are looking for a quick stop while you are in a shopping mall, then the El Diez, Parrilla Argentina, is not a bad choice. I started with an “Empanada Elote con queso” (44 MXN) which was a bit dry but went quite well with the chimichurri sauce served.
As a main, I went for the “Bife de Chorizo (300gr) con guarnición de ensalada mixta” (307 MXN). Now, the meat was quite okay – surprisingly – but it wasn’t served ‘medium’ but a bit more although the specifically had asked. Frankly, if you are a place which is kind of specialized in meats, then you should manage to serve the meat to the cooking degree you ask the client. The salad and the rest around it was rather mediocre.
The place itself is nothing special but actually I was positively surprised for the fact that it is located in a shopping mall. Secondly, the service does a decent job as they are attentive and make sure you have more or less everything you need. The prices are rather steep for CDMX besides the beverages (i.e. mineral water, 39 MXN).
To sum it up, unless you are at the shopping mall already and are hungry, there is absolutely no need to go here.
