When the service hits on you when you order drinks: El Be Club (18. April 2017)
The beach in Tamarindo is truly lovely – not too crowded, yet quite alive (especially compared to the Langosta beach which is right around the corner which is rather ‘dead’), and you find a lot of different places to have a drink or eat something small. Obviously, ‘happy hour’ is the time to visit any place (although some places have ‘happy hour all day long’ or ‘happy hour from 3pm to 6pm’ – which makes me think they don’t really get the concept of happy hour).
However, the ‘Pura Vida’ (2’000 CRC) you get at the El Be Club which is at the sea shore – so has quite a lovely view – is decent. Quite sweet really, but absolutely to my gusto. The service on the other hand is – well, with room for improvement – it took quite long until they finally managed to do the drinks and to bring them to us. Additionally, I had ordered water without ice, and got, TADA!, a glass full of ice. Really?
Well, enjoy the view when you’re at El Be Club – it is gorgeous. And don’t get annoyed by the ‘speed’ of the waiters or anything the like – just relax. The best thing to do in Tamarindo anyway – besides surfing maybe.
