Perfect space to rest after surfing: The Ocean Beach Bar (19. April 2017)
I decided to take a surfing class – for the first time in my life – and it was not only very interesting but it was also surprisingly intense. I was completely done after 2 hours, swallowed more salt water than I ever have before, and the surfboard hit my chest so I can still feel it days later. So, while it is definitely fun when you get up on the board and get to ride a wave a bit, it completely kills you if you’re not used to it.
So, The Ocean Beach Bar was the perfect place to enjoy a couple of bottles of water (Agua Soda, 1’700 CRC) after ‘drinking the ocean’. And I tell you, to just sit there, enjoy your drink (well, in this case even your glass of water), is just perfect and makes you understand how people can actually live by the sea and not worry about anything. I mean, I get it – besides the heat!
The place is simple but lovely, the view speaks for itself I’d say, and the service is friendly and rather swift. So, overall, The Ocean Beach Bar is a great place to sit down and enjoy your time – relax with either a drink or only a glass of water.
