Industrial bar serving delicious mojitos: Rive Rouge (13. May 2017)
Creating exclusivity is the key to success for many bars and clubs. And the Rive Rouge is quite good at that. Although the place was completely empty when we arrived around 11pm, the bouncer made us wait. Because, of course, makes sense. Why would you let people in an empty club? Totally exclusive to be empty!
Well, anyway, once we were in expecting a club which was completely full and pumping, we figured – it wasn’t. Or to be more specific – not yet at least. The place is quite lit in terms of interior design – you have two huge bars (which looked at the time completely out of place and way too large) – which are decorated absolutely perfectly.
I went for the “Mojito” (EUR 9.00) which was one of the betters ones I have had lately. Rich, flavourful, and while it had a decent amount of booze, it wasn’t overwhelming or anything in that direction. So, they can definitely make a good mojito!
Surprisingly enough, about one hour later, the place was full and pumping. The male-female ratio was quite good and almost everybody was dancing – admittedly, the DJ did a great job putting up his beats. Overall, the Rive Rouge is a nice place you can definitely plan to visit when you are in Lisbon!
