Quite a decent breakfast on the top floor: Sheraton Club Lounge @ Sheraton Grand Taipei (28. May 2017)

After the first experience at the Sheraton in ‘Kitchen 12’ I was not entirely sure what to expect from the lounge but the breakfast was actually great. There is a selection of various Asian dishes with a live cooking station where you can get all your egg dishes – in case there was someone attending the station. Only if you are basically standing in the way of the waiters and wave at them, they would feel obliged to react to you. Once you managed to place the order though, they are friendly and even bring the egg dish to your table.

Else, you find something different every day in terms of Asian breakfast dishes ranging from tasty things like beef stripes …

… to a variety of suhsi (I didn’t try those) …

… and some dumplings which seem to be existing to a veeeery laaarge degree of dough …

… and then all the mandatory Western breakfast stuff like fruit …

… and coffee and tea station. So, you basically find everything you need there which is absolutely lovely. The service – in general (not counting the not attended omelet station) – is very friendly and helpful.

So if you are staying at a Club Room or are SPG Platinum member, you should definitely enjoy the ‘free’ breakfast in the lounge but – in my personal opinion – it is not worth it to ‘upgrade’ your room to a club room if you don’t have it booked anyway.
