Amazing Italian fegato alla Veneziana: Restaurant MASI Wine Bar (22. June 2017)

Given I’m in the area on a regular basis, the MASI became kind of my ‘go to place’ lately. Today I started with a “zuppa fredda di pomodoro al pesto” (where I, unfortunately, didn’t note the price) which was rather regular, i.e. it tasted more like the content of a tomato can than anything else.

The main course on the other hand, the “fegato di vitello alla veneziana” (CHF 39.00) was delicious – the liver was mostly tender and prepared in a very aromatic way.

The “polenta” on the other hand was rather dull and didn’t taste like much – and that in an Italian restaurant. Quite surprising really!

Then again, the waiter did a good job and was swift in attending (bringing the menu, taking up the order, and finally serving the food). So, overall, the lunch offering in the MASI Wine Bar is definitely good. In summer you don’t even have an issue finding a table – unless you want to sit outside. Then it might be recommendable to actually book a table in advance.
