Nice Lebanese food in a new hotel: Restaurant NENI @ 25hours Hotel Langstrasse (22. June 2017)

| September 27, 2017 | 0 Comments

The 25hours hotel in Langstrasse has only been opened recently and – like the other one close to Escher-Wyss-Platz – it has a NENI. So it was time to give it a try – and the “humus plate served with Har Bracha tahina and NENI’s pita bread” (CHF 9.00) is not only a bargain in terms of price but the humus is mouth-watering and there is quite enough pita bread being served in case you would want more.

As a main, I went for the “Korean Fried chicken salad (fried chicken with Asian salad, pomegranate seeds, peanuts, soy sauce and carrot sake vinaigrette)” (CHF 24.00) which sounded small – and it does look quite small in the picture. However, the portion is very decent and the flavours are great – definitely a ‘must try’ there.

What I liked a lot there was the ‘water concept’ – for only CHF 4.00 you would get as much water (re-fills) as you wanted. What turned out to be a bit more complicated was to get drinks which were only served in the bar to the restaurant. However, somehow we managed and I must say that the “Sloppy Joe’s Mojito (Bacardi Carta Oro Rum, pomegranate, lime, mint, soda water)” (CHF 12.50) and the “Gin Basil” (CHF 13.00) were delicious while the “Ladykiller” (CHF 14.50) was not really to my taste.

The service did a good job as they were generally quite attentive, solution-oriented and friendly. What else could you potentially want. Overall, I can recommend you the NENI at the 25hours hotel in Langstrasse – might prove smart to book a table in advance.
