An unpleasant surprise – salad with paper: Restaurant terrasse (10. July 2017)

I frankly thought that the bargain at the Restaurant terrasse for lunch was quite fine. The “leaf salad with avocado and a citrus dressing” (CHF 6.00) looked fine at first – I mean, not entirely fresh in terms of the leaves but …

… latest when you find a piece of paper in your salad things are unpleasant! Can’t really be that this happens! Of course the waiter apologized and brought me a new salad … but it just leaves an impression.

The “risotto al pomodoro con chorizo”(CHF 24.00) on the other hand was quite tasty – grainy and creamy at the same time and the flavours were intense and pleasurable. In terms of portion, it was a bit small but still absolutely fine.

While he wanted to offer us a coffee, we didn’t really have time given we were a bit later than originally planned so he took a bottle of water off the bill – at least. So, I’m a bit biased what to say. I mean, of course things like that can happen as there are all humans in the kitchen but frankly, they shouldn’t. Given – ignoring the paper – the food was quite decent, I’m happy to give the terrasse another try another day but for the time being, not a big fan. Last time they charged too much, this time, there’s paper in my salad. Let’s see what happens next time!
