Not only good for breakfast but also for lunch: Restaurant Café Einstein (21. August 2017)
About 9 months ago, I’ve enjoyed breakfast at the Café Einstein and this time I decided to give it a try for lunch. And it was actually a good decision. In summer, you can sit outside in the little garden they have in the back and the service is rather quick and friendly so my “Viennese Schnitzel with cranberry jam, potato and cucumber salad” (EUR 24.00) was served within no time. And while you probably shouldn’t eat Viennese Schnitzel in Berlin, it still turned out to be a very good idea. The schnitzel was good – and it was huge. I was actually not even able to finish it – something I would not have expected.
As mentioned, the service was swift and friendly and very jovial at the same time. When it comes to prices, the EUR 24.00 for the schnitzel is absolutely decent and the same is actually true for the beverages (i.e. Maracuja Schorle for EUR 4.20 or a double espresso for EUR 4.50). So, while I would initially only have recommended the Café Einstein for brunch, I can absolutely recommend it for lunch too. Worth trying!
