Upgraded food offering compared to previous visits: Westin Executive Club @ The Westin Grand Munich (7. September 2017)
It is quite some time ago since I’ve had the time to eat something in the Westin Executive Club in the Westin Grand Munich – and while they’ve changed the menu shortly before I’ve left the Westin Grand (given I used to stay there for 14 months), I was actually never really in the Lounge anymore since. For the first time today, I’ve had proper time to actually try what kind of new food they have in the lounge. And I must say that the selection is definitely better compared to what they’ve offered six years ago.
The salad buffet is quite exhaustive for a lounge and you can compile a proper salad with a variety of dressings which goes beyond just oil and vinegar.
The small bowls with different things inside are okay – but not the best ones in terms of taste. The salmon was a bit too chewy for my gusto but still fine.
They’ve also changed the location of the beverages allowing them to store more beverages on the one hand side and on the other hand to place things the beverages a bit more conveniently.
Overall, the Westin Executive Club Lounge in the Westin Grand Munich has definitely received an upgrade – with the exception that the lounge is not really attended anymore, i.e. the guest relation ladies are not in the lounge anymore. Frankly, a down-grade compared to old times.
