Perfect place for breakfast in a busy street: Ruvolo Beer and Wine (10. September 2017)

| December 21, 2017 | 0 Comments

What I love about Italy is the fact that you find a lovely café around every corner – and in Palermo there is one long street where kind of everything is going on. So upon walking by various cafés and not finding anything which fit, we finally found the Ruvolo Beer & Wine. Or to be more precise, that was the name of the Café on one side of the street, on the other side of the street, there was the other part of the Ruvolo and it was more a breakfast place. I went for a “Panino” (EUR 2.50) which was simple, of course, but also great.

The “Caffé Doppio” (EUR 3.00) was as good as always when having coffee in Italy – intense, flavourful, full of taste.

The service is friendly, relatively swift, and after some orders even up for a joke. What you clearly feel though, the focus is not to keep the customer as long as possible but to ‘make sure the turn-over on each table’ is as high as possible. Nothing to complain there, it just doesn’t feel so perfect. However, all in all, the Ruvolo is a lovely place for a brief breakfast.
