Amazing rooftop bar with view onto the Acropolis: Bar 8 @ Hotel Grand Bretagne (14. September 2017)
The Hotel Grand Bretagne is apparently the best hotel in Athens and while I haven’t had the chance to spend a night there, I had the possibility to visit the Bar 8 (roof top terrace) of the hotel. And the view you have from here, directly onto the Acropolis is not only beautiful but quite impressive. However, if you want to see the Acropolis by night, you should probably book a table in advance, as else you will end up somewhere in the back where it’s still pretty but not as pretty.
I’ve had a lovely drink with some typical Greek flavour (kind of a HARZ from a tree called MATISKA?). Loved it. And the service was very friendly and helpful too. Although one of our party kind of kept knocking glasses over, she remained friendly and helpful throughout the whole evening. If you are in Athens, definitely a can and must visit.
