Amazing salads in a lovely atmosphere: Restaurant Coco’s (17. November 2017)

The restaurant Coco’s had been recommended to me for salads so I decided to enjoy the “Chicken Avocado Salad with Coco’s Sauce” (3.300 BHD) and while it looked not that appealing, also due to the fact that the sauce was very dark, it was actually an amazing salad.

The “Mini Chili Beef Burgers” (3.700 BHD) were actually quite decent. Not really the best burgers I’ve had as the buns were super stroppy but in terms of beef patty, it was definitely a very good burger.

The place is alive throughout the whole night which was quite impressive. And while I have heard and was told that you sometimes have to queue quite a bit, I was rather lucky that waiting time was exactly zero minutes. In any case, the place is very nice and the fact that you can sit outside in the open definitely adds to this atmospheric feeling. The service on the other hand is definitely far from perfect – while they are friendly taking up your order, it takes them way too long to serve you, respectively the serving order doesn’t make any sense. You get the salad and the burgers before the beverages arrive. Frankly, for me a no go.

Despite the rather below-average service, I can highly recommend the Coco’s as the place is lovely, the food is good, and the prices are also decent for what you get. However, service has quite some room for improvement.
