Great lunch buffet with shisha: Restaurant Al Merkaaz (14. December 2017)
Today I learned something new – it is completely common in the region to enjoy a shisha already for lunch! And, smoking outside is not allowed but inside it is. Huh?
Well, anyways, the “lunch buffet including shisha” (89 AED – would be 65 AED excl. shisha) offers a variety of dishes of which I frankly wasn’t able to remember the names when they explained it.
But I tried the majority of it and I must say that the comfort food selection you get is quite extensive and it does actually taste good.
What I liked was the selection of the mezzeh and salad buffet – you’d find a bit of everything …
… and also my favourite kind of mezzeh: hummus!
The place is not very atmospheric but functional and works perfect for a quick lunch with shisha. The shisha guy is attentive and changes your coal on a regular basis and the rest of the staff is also friendly and helpful.
