2. November 2010: Piano Bar @ALDEN Hotel Splügenschloss

The ALDEN Hotel Splügenschloss is located close to Zurich Enge and is easily reachable by tram 5 (stop: “Rentenanstalt”). The Hotel looks impressive from the outside and the picture doesn’t change much when you enter. The Piano bar is furnitured in a pretty way and has a nice atmosphere.

I was in the Piano Bar for the InterNations Zurich Late October Get-Together which is a platform for expatriates (http://www.internations.org). Therefore, the bar has been pretty crowded which was at times a bit uncomfortable. But assuming that there are usually not that many people, the atmosphere is great.

The service (which is limited to you going to the bar to get something to drink) is quick and friendly. The wine served is good and also decent in price (CHF 9.00 per glass).

All in all, the Piano Bar @ALDEN Hotel Splügenschloss is a nice place to have a drink in the evening. The atmosphere is nice, the wine is good, the prices are decent and the waiters are friendly.
