Solid and swift Italian lunch: Restaurant Amalfi (12. March 2018)

| August 11, 2018 | 0 Comments

The “mozzarella di bufala campana e pomodorini datteri con basilico a foglie” (CHF 18.00) is lovely but the tomatoes were not sufficiently ripe yet, respectively were lacking in terms of aroma and flavour.

The “gnocchi di patate al ragù di manzo, pomodorini datteri e pecorino” (CHF 30.00) had a bit of a funny consistency. The gnocchi were somewhat ‘undercooked’ for my personal gusto. But the ragù was great and made generally for a sound dish. What I liked in both cases was the look of the dish. It looks properly arranged, clean, appealing.

The lunch service is swift and within no time you are served your dishes. Additionally, they are friendly and helpful at all times. Besides a rather prices beverage, i.e. “San Pellegrino, 1l” for CHF 10.00, I can absolutely recommend the Restaurant Amalfi for lunch. Booking a table in advance is very highly recommended.
