Great sushi lunch bargain in Zurich: Restaurant Samurai II (15. March 2018)
Since I have spent a couple of months in the middle east, I grew even more fond of edamame. So I decided to go for the “Spicy Edamame” (CHF 10.00) and while they were good in terms of the quality of the beans and I liked the ‘spices’ a lot. However, the spices were applied rather ‘thickly’ making it a bit too condiment-y for my personal gusto.
The “miso soup” which was part of the menu, was rather dull but perfect to warm up the stomach.
The “Shake Fry Bento (fried salmon, salmon and tuna sashimi, tuna rolls, spicy tuna tartare, sunomono, served with rice)” (CHF 30.00) is a truly outstanding deal. You get a lovely selection of a variety of things. And each of it is really good. Frankly, I don’t think there is a much better sushi deal in Zurich than that.
Even the prices for the beverages are fine. A pot of “yasmine tea” accounts for CHF 5.00 and a bottle of water for CHF 5.00. The Samurai II is the perfect lunch bargain if you ware into sushi – you really get enough and the quality of the dishes is good, for a very reasonable price. Booking a table in advance is a must.
