Patience needed to deal with the limited efficiency: Restaurant Bären (16. April 2018)

| September 20, 2018 | 0 Comments

Upon arrival I was already wondering a bit what to expect of the place and sometimes first impressions really give away quite a bit. When you’re welcomed, everything is kind of inefficient – starting with the seating process, bringing the menu, taking up the order and then finally bringing the drinks. The “Pizza Napoli (tomatoes, olives, anchovies, mozzarella, oregano)” (CHF 19.00) was definitely better than expected though.

Given they kind of realized we weren’t entirely happy with how the lunch went, they offered us a “dessert on the house” which was a nice gesture but somehow didn’t really change much anymore.

All in all, the Restaurant zum Bären is not a place I would go to again. Perfect if you are looking for a quite place for a beer or so but else, the service is – while friendly – not attentive and swift enough for a business lunch context. Prices are – at least – fair (which is also true for the beverages, i.e. 0,5l water (CHF 6.50).
