Amazingly tasty Pho Bo soup: Restaurant Du Théâtre (26. April 2018)
I have been to the Du Théâtre about one year ago and what was true back then still holds true – they have a lovely lunch offering with dishes which are a bit ‘out of the ordinary’. The “lunch salad” is not along those lines but still very rich for a regular lunch salad.
The “Pho Bo (Vietnamese beef soup, spicy rice noodles)” (CHF 29.00) is definitely not your average lunch meal. Admittedly, the whole thing is also quite spicy so you will have an afternoon where you are very awake. The soup is rich and flavourful. Definitely worth trying.
The service is generally attentive – only when I had ordered my second bottle of water, it took them a while to bring it. But they compensate for it with their friendliness and kindness which shines right through and isn’t fake (or at least they really manage to make that completely unseen). Make sure though to book your table in advance for lunch as else you won’t stand a chance to get one during the week.
