A solid performance as always: Restaurant Brasserie Freilager (1. May 2018)
When you feel like eating at home but you don’t feel like cooking at home, the Restaurant Brasserie Freilager is the perfect place to go to (as it is literally 50 meters away in my case). The “leaf salad to share” (CHF 11.00) was decent and offered quite a variety of greens and vegetables making it the perfect little starter.
It comes with a selection of ‘croutôns, parsley and nuts’ you can spread over your salad according to your liking.
The “lemon basil tortelloni with brown butter and Parmesan” (CHF 27.00) were delicious as they were not overcooked and the sauce was just absolutely mouth-watering.
And it was served with pesto, cheese and tomato spread – again, to be applied according to your gusto on the pasta. But in this case any application would have been ruining the dish. Therefore, it was just perfect as it was (with some more cheese, admittedly).
The place is nice as always and the waiter was attentive and friendly today. Even the prices are fair – also when it comes to the beverages (e.g. 0,5l water, CHF 4.00; double espresso, CHF 5.00). Again, the Restaurant Brasserie Freilager remains a place to be visited as they serve good food in a nice atmosphere with fair service and fair prices.
