Decent lunch offering on a terrace: Restaurant Engel (26. June 2018)

| November 19, 2018 | 0 Comments

The “vegetable soup” was rather thick and probably the best of the left overs of the last couple of days. However, despite the rather ‘mixed nature’ of the soup, it was actually quite rich and a good start into lunch.

The “zander crisps with sauce tartar, French fries and salad” (CHF 26.50) were quite delicious. Although the fish was a bit too dry on the inside for my personal gusto, it was all in all quite a great lunch. The salad was rich and the French fries were not overly crispy.

The place itself is rather simple and the view from the terrace is also not too appealing but it is all compensated for by the friendly and swift service. Among the restaurants in Liestal, the Engel is definitely one of the better ones to try.
