Amazing lunch bargain and super delicious food: Restaurant Saku (5. July 2018)
It is quite some time ago since I’ve had lunch at the Restaurant Saku and I figured, I should go more often. They have an amazing lunch bargain where you get a Ramen, a starter, and one beverage for only CHF 28.00. Where in Zurich do you get all this for CHF 28.00 only? I can’t imagine a single other place. Anyways, the “vegetarian sushi” which came as a complimentary starter was okay.
What I truly liked though was the “Ramen Tantanmen (spicy miso basis with minced meat, corn, egg, spring onions, nori and wakame)” (usually CHF 24.00). The bowl is not only delicious in terms of flavours and spices but it is also quite a portion so you wouldn’t be hungry when you’re done. I can absolutely recommend it. And to my surprise, it was easy to find a table for lunch – something I definitely had not expected!
The place is tiny and you don’t have too much privacy when it’s crowded. The service is super friendly and lovely, however, once it gets more crowded you have to be patient as it takes quite a while until the dishes are served or the waitress shows up again. In any case, highly recommended!
