Delicious breakfast but room for improvement with regards to service: Salon de Thé Claude (29. July 2018)
More randomly than anything else we stumbled upon the Salon de Thé Claude – mostly because there were a lot of people visibly enjoying their breakfast. So, I decided to do the same and ordered the “Claude’s Breakfast (glass of Cava, freshly squeezed orange juice, croissant, butter, jam, bread, soft boiled egg, yoghurt, ham/cheese, smoked salmon, fruit, double espresso)” (EUR 25.00) which was good but the service did not exactly perform very well …
… they did bring the fruit and …
… the salmon but they forgot the eggs, the yogurt and the basked of bread. I mean, I get it, it’s a lot, it’s complicated, people are all annoyed and hungry but frankly, I’m not entirely sure I should tell you as a waiter that you forgot to bring the bread, then the egg, and then the yogurt. Check once and do it right, please!
Other than that, the restaurant is in so far nice as that you get generally good dishes for a fair price (although borderline in my opinion). What was truly lovely though that day was the fact that there was a guy sitting playing his guitar making it a truly relaxing and atmospheric breakfast.
The Salon de Thé Claude is definitely worth visiting for a nice breakfast so it is highly recommended that you book your table in advance!
