Definitely a disappointing experience: Restaurant Don Quijote @ FourPoints by Sheraton (27. August 2018)
The Don Quijote – not surprisingly – was praised by the staff in the FourPoints by Sheraton. Now, I suppose they have to do that but it is really not a place to praise. I had a “sopa de marisco” (7.75 CUC) as a starter which was really just smelling fishy (and also tasting fishy). At least I didn’t get a sick stomach from that.
Secondly, I wanted to have some beef – but, surprise, surprise, they were out of beef. So they offered me pig instead. The “cerdo” (10.00 CUC) was at least quite juicy and not stringy like it so often is. So, they were doing okay on that front.
The place itself isn’t appealing at all, the decoration is rather non-imaginative, the place is super cooled down. And last but not least, the service is friendly but so slow. I had ordered a softdrink and a water. And it took more than 15 minutes to be served – considering the table I was sitting at was the only one occupied, that’s kind of a negative record! To sum it up, not worth going to!
