Amazing location for a lovely wedding dinner: Restaurant Friedheim (31. August 2018)

| January 20, 2019 | 0 Comments

The lovely thing about wedding dinners is that they are always luscious and you can be kind of sure that the food is great. The Restaurant Friedheim is not entirely easy to find but worth the short ride up the hills of Lake Lucerne. The dinner started with an “amuse bouche” which was great to get your taste buds started.

As a starter, I went for the “fresh roasted duck liver on salad with Modena balsamic vinaigrette” (CHF 24.00) which was absolutely mouth-watering as the duck liver basically melted in your mouth and you could just ‘suck up’ the delicious flavours.

As a main, I had the “diced calf’s liver ‘Grandmother Style'” (CHF 40.00) which was absolutely outstanding. The liver was smooth like I haven’t had it in a while. There were no strings, nothing which would bother you in terms of consistency and the sauce in which it was prepared was just exquisite.

Not to talk about the “champagne risotto” which was served as a side – creamy, light, yet full of taste.

For dessert, I went for the “ice cream yogurt, caramel, crunchy white chocolate” (CHF 13.50) which was quite a portion but the ice cream was nice and the chunks of caramel did their part to make it a great dessert.

The place itself is super lovely – the table was set in a marvelous way and was really just true eye candy. The service is very attentive and friendly at all times – just how service should be! I can absolutely recommend you to pay the Restaurant Friedheim a visit!
