Decent burger but disgusting cheese fries: Restaurant Bullhut Barbecue (10. October 2018)
After the concept of ‘something new every day’, I went to the same mall again for lunch but this time to another restaurant. The Bullhut Barbecue was the place to be, so I went for a typical dish you would expect from a meat place – the “Beef-Cheese-Bacon-Burger (beef burger, cheddar cheese, bacon, sauce, greens)” (EUR 9.90) and ordered “BBQ-Chili-Cheese-Fries (fries with a cheese chili sauce and jalapeños)” (EUR 6.50). The burger was surprisingly good. The meat was tasty and it wasn’t well done – which I could have expected to get that way given they hadn’t asked about how I wanted my meat done.
The fries on the other hand are just plainly disgusting. I mean, not the fries themselves. They are super fine. But the ‘cheese’ sauce. Man, that’s just somehow artificial kind of stuff which isn’t really cheese at all. I don’t know how people can call this cheese or like it. I definitely thought it was repulsive. The “elderflower lime mint soda (0,4l)” (EUR 4.50) on the other hand was good. And the service was friendly and helpful making sure I’d get my burger rather quickly. So, while I would definitely not order the fries again, I think you can go for the burger.
