Unfriendly service as hell: Restaurant Brauerei im Füchschen (23. October 2018)
I don’t entirely get the fascination of people with brewery houses in this area of Germany. I mean, okay, of course the brew beer and if you like beer then a brewery is kind of the place to be. However, if you are there for lunch or maybe not the biggest fan of beer, then it is a bit of a peculiar place. The waiters are just unfriendly. I mean, probably one would call that differently as a local but to anybody outside of the place itself, it’s just unfriendly.
Once you have placed the order, it takes a bit until they serve anything. And when they do, it’s so not friendly. Well, well. I went for a “small salad” (EUR 4.10 on the menu, but EUR 3.20 on the bill) which was rich and had a variety of ingredients.
The “slaughter platter of the house with sauerkraut and potato puree” (EUR 13.20) was not nearly as heavy as expected but it also didn’t have any meat really. I mean, there was bacon and a variety of sausages (regular, liver, blood) which were find but it was more ‘the best of the rest’ than actual meat.
And when it was about asking for the bill, it took them another eternity to finally arrive at our table to get the money in. So, if you are into heavy German portions and getting in the real German unfriendliness of breweries, go here. Else, don’t.
