Lovely atmosphere and good service: Restaurant La Salle (25. October 2018)
The “Caesar Salad with bacon and croûtons” (CHF 14.00) is very generous on the bacon and croûtons side. The salad itself is good though and you have a decent starter to fill your tummy.
The “veal liver with shallots and herbs” (CHF 38.50) is good and surprisingly enough, quite a portion. Still, that you have to pay on top for the sidedish is kind of inappropriate I believe.
The “spaetzle” (CHF 7.00) on the other hand are nothing exquisite and a bit overpriced if you ask me.
The “sour cream ice cream” (CHF 4.50) was refreshing and nicely prepared with a couple of different fruits. So, all in all, you get a good selection of fruit with your ice cream.
The place is appealing in terms of atmosphere as it is spacious and they manage to place the tables apart from each other so you have your privacy even when it’s crowded. The service is friendly and swift and really does her best to make it a pleasant stay. All in all, the La Salle is a decent location for dinner – worth trying.
