Swift lunch offering with decent food: Restaurant *hirschchen (8. November 2018)
The *hirschchen is a safe bet for a swift and simple lunch. And it is worth visiting on a Thursday as Thursday is schnitzel day! What usually costs around EUR 13.00 – EUR 14.00 is available for only EUR 8.90 on Thursdays – “breaded pork schnitzel with pepper sauce and French fries” (EUR 8.90). At first I was a bit skeptical about how good it can be but I must say that the schnitzel quality is actually nice, the pepper sauce is tasty. The French fries on the other hand somehow lack a bit of something and are rather dull in flavour.
The place remains busy but somehow they are better serving inside than outside – at least things move quicker. And the good thing is, the food is served within minutes. So, you really don’t have to wait for long. Plus, the bargain that you get 0,4l of “home made ice tea” for only EUR 2.00 is very pleasing. For me, the *hirschchen remains a place where you can get decent dishes for a fair price in an ideal timeframe.
