21. December 2010: Restaurant Amoriba
Chicken and dried tomatoes swimming in oil, stroppy salad, coming right from the refrigerator. Not really what one expects from a chicken salad – although not surprising as usually airport restaurants aren’t the ones being outstanding. Still, the way the salad was made, one could see it wasn’t fresh at all. The chicken and the dried tomatoes tasted both good together but the tiny part which was salad was really stroppy and old – a part was even frozen to the plate. Definitely a no go!
At least the price is okay being EUR 10.40 for the chicken salad and to be honest, if you’re looking for a comparatively “hearty salad” then it is okay. At least the bread which has been brought with the salad was okay – also not entirely fresh, but eatable. The Schneider’s Weisse accounting for EUR 4.90 is pretty decent in price.
The service is quick and friendly but doesn’t take the empty plates once you’ve finished them. The atmosphere is okay for an airport restaurant but nothing too appealing really. At least it’s comfortable because it’s right next to Gate A81 where flights to Zurich take off from.
