Not service-oriented at all: Seven Lounge (24. February 2019)
You hear a lot about the Seven in Ascona as this is also a place of luscious dishes. So I was curious to experience what the Seven had to offer and they had a “7th Mule” (CHF 16.00) with passion fruit which was definitely worth trying! The drink is relatively weak in terms of alcohol but tasty in terms of flavour!
When you are seated, you get some Parmesan cheese and olives which is quite a lovely nibble compared to the regular ‘peanuts and stuff’. So, I liked it quite a lot!
The view onto the lake is nice as the bar is located right next to the lake – although it would be better from the first floor which was still closed in the morning! What isn’t so great is the service. Or to be more precise, the waiter which originally attended the table, was very competent. However, after it got a bit more crowded and he disappeared behind the bar (and his more junior colleague took over), things started going south. I had asked for the bill and it took them a solid 20 (!) minutes to bring the bill which resulted in me walking to the bar to pay straight there! Finally, I was able to pay and to leave. Still, not really how things should be!
