Como en Italia: Restaurant Dell’Isola (11. March 2019)

| May 12, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Dell’Isola already left a good impression on me when I had called – given I was greeted with a heavy Italian accent. Usually a good sign when you call an Italian restaurant. As a starter I went for the “Tatar di Manzo” (EUR 18.90) which was incredibly smooth. The meat was so tender and almost melting like butter – and yet it had a nice tatar consistency and a tremendous flavor! Amazing!

The “Ravioli al plin (ravioli stuffed with fassona beef, seared pachino tomatoes, Parmesan)” (EUR 15.00) were amazing too. I loved the fact that they were cooked perfectly al dente – and the seared Pachino tomatoes really rocked my palate! Loved it!

What was – unfortunately – not as pleasant was the waiting time. Too much time – at least in my opinion – passed between the two courses (to be precise, 45 minutes). Given we were a larger group and shared quite some laughs, it was okay. But 45 minutes is definitely too much between starter and main! The prices are very fair which is also true for the beverages like a “double espresso” (EUR 3.90), a bottle of water (EUR 5.90) or the “Le Volte, Tenuta dell’Ornellaia, 2013” (EUR 43.00).

All in all, I can absolutely recommend the Dell’Isola in Münster – lovely place, very atmospheric, generally good and attentive service and absolutely delicious meals for a great price.
