A decent breakfast buffet: Restaurant Sloane’s @ Grosvenor House Dubai (28. March 2019)

When you stay at the Grosvenor House I can definitely recommend you to have breakfast in the Sloane’s – the selection of dishes is quite extensive and you really find something for every gusto. Although there isn’t too much if you are interested in eating something local. But there is some hummus at least which was already able to satisfy my basic breakfast need when in Dubai.

You find a rather large selection of nuts and grains …

… as well as cold cuts and cheeses (everything but pork).

If you feel like having a healthy breakfast, you can always get a salad as a starter.

Furthermore, there is a cheese buffet selection …

… as well as a bread station …

… and an egg and omelet station where you can, if you remember your table number, order your egg the way you want and it is brought to your table.

What I liked a lot as well was the selection of fruit they offer – you find quite a great fruit selection and my favourite, water melon, was always available.

Furthermore, you find a selection of pastries …

… yogurts and pre-cut fruit …

… as well as something for the heartier palates like fried rice, soups …

… and finally the ‘pork station’ which is marked in red so nobody would accidentally eat pork.

The service is friendly and really tries its best – however, they are not the most efficient. It takes them way too long to actually serve you what you’ve ordered. I mean, I had to wait for my tea and orange juice more than 15 minutes. Seems a bit off in terms of acceptable time. All in all, if you are staying at the Grosvenor House, the breakfast selection is something you should definitely try out!
