Slow service but tasty dishes: Restaurant Zeughaus (24. June 2019)

| July 25, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Zeughaus is a very simple place but offers absolutely tasty dishes. As a starter I went for the “tortellini in brodo” (CHF 4.50) and frankly speaking, I wasn’t expecting much but the broth is intense and full of flavor and the tortellini are cooked perfectly al dente. The only downside was the fact that between sitting down and getting the soup, a solid 30 minutes passed, which is definitely a bit too much when the place is almost empty.

As a main, I went for the “fitness plate with perch strips and sauce tartar” (CHF 25.50). The salad was okay. The fish strips had a bit too much batter for my personal gusto but else, the dish was fine.

The place is – as stated super simple but with friendly service but it definitely needs a bit of a speed up. Else, all in all, the Zeughaus offers solid cuisine for decent prices and in a rather lovely environment.
