Nice atmosphere and exquisite service: Restaurant Brasserie Louis (6. July 2019)
It is quite a couple of years ago since I have been to the Brasserie Louis but given it was Züri Fäst that weekend and almost every restaurant was somehow booked out, I decided to give the Brasserie Louis another shot. The place itself really looks like a French brasserie making it somehow comfortable and nice. We were attended by a lovely waitress from Romania making sure that we would get everything we needed and wanted within a very reasonable time. I went for the “crab salad” (CHF 19.50) which was refreshing and generally lovely in terms of taste.
The main course was a bigger portion than expected – the “Moules Marinère (white wine broth, spring onions, garlic, parsley, chive)” (CHF 32.00) are an absolute portion. But they are not only coming as quite a big portion, they are also better than expected in terms of taste. There wasn’t one ‘fowl’ mussel in there.
Overall, the evening was great as the food was good, fair in price, the atmosphere was lovely and the waitress did an amazing and caring job! And you even find decent wine for a relatively decent price, like the “Carmelo Rodero Bodegas Redero I Ribera del Duero DO” for CHF 59.00. All in all, the Brasserie Louis definitely is a place save to visit for a good French-like experience
