Exquisite garden atmosphere for hot summer days: Restaurant Drei Stuben (19. July 2019)
It is several years ago since I’ve last paid the Drei Stuben a visit and it is still a lovely place worth visiting – especially during lunch as they have a lovely garden with a lot of trees and, therefore, shadow which is very welcome during the hot summer days. As a starter, I went for the “cold cucumber mango soup with beetroot and salmon” (CHF 16.50). For me, the soup lacked a bit in terms of flavor and intensity plus was a bit expensive for the size.
What was absolutely delicious though was the “barley risotto with lemon, peas and a small burratina” (CHF 28.50) as it was perfectly cooked and rich in terms of flavors and textures. As disappointing the starter was, as lovely the main.
For dessert, I went for a selection of different ice creams like “pear, vanilla and sour cream” (CHF 16.50) which was boring optically but absolutely great in terms of taste.
What I liked a lot about the Drei Stuben is the little garden outside which is covered and protects you from the heat of the summer – furthermore, the service was exquisite. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive and making sure – at all times – that we would have everything we needed.
Although it is not too crowded during the holidays, it is still highly recommended to book a table in advance as only then you can be sure to get a quite place which has appropriate privacy for any discussions.
