Excellent dinner – location- as well as food-wise: Restaurant Camino (20. August 2019)

It is years ago since I’ve paid the Camino a visit but I figured this day that I should do that more often. Given the place is rather small, I would highly recommend you to book a table in advance as else your chances of actually getting a table are rather limited. Once you’re seated and you’ve placed your order, there is a small amuse bouche in the form of a soup served which was rich in terms of flavor.

As a starter, I went for the “pea cream soup with a small tarte flambée” (CHF 18.00). The pea soup tasted like it should – like a typical pea soup. And the small tarte flambée was exactly to my gusto especially given it was garnished with bacon pieces.

As a main course, I went for the “briefly grilled tuna, chimichurri, pimientos de padron and potato mash” (CHF 48.00) which was mainly covered in greens but actually good in terms of flavor and quality of the food.

They also offer a nice selection of different wines and I went for the “Preludio, Bodegas sei Solo, Tempranillo, 2016” (CHF 80.00) that evening which is definitely worth trying! The interior of the place is lovely – traditional and yet modern and you have enough space between the tables so you have your privacy. The service is professional, swift, and lovely. Just make sure to book your table in advance.
